How Buddhism Started...
Buddhism started off with young price called Gautama Siddartha (563-483 B.C) who lives 2,500 years ago in Northern India. One day whilst meditating under a tree he found all his answers to his questions. This event is called enlightment day. From that day in people called him Buddha which means he whom understands.
Important person of Buddhism
An important person in Buddhism is a man named Gautama Siddartha who came at approximately 500 B.C. Gautama Siddartha was terrified of natural sufferings such as disease, death and old age. He left his wife Yasodhara and his infant son Rahula to look for spiritual enlightment. Then he finally settled down and became a Monk. That was how Gautama became the founder of Buddhism and that’s how he got called Buddha.
Significant Book of Buddhism
The sacred book of Buddhism is called the Tipitaka. It is written in an ancient Indian language called Pali which is very close to the language that the Buddha
himself spoke. The Tripitaka is a very large book. The English translation of it takes up nearly forty volumes.

The Afterlife Belief
Buddhist believe that when people die, they are reborn or reincarnated. People may be reborn as people or animals. They think that humans that live a good life will
be more privileged, such as a; prince; but a person that has lived a evil life will be reborn as a worm.
